What to See in Bali Island (Indonesia)

Kuta, Bali island (Indonesia)

Kuta resort – the largest of the resorts in Bali, it is located on the southwestern coast of the island, 10 km from Denpasar.

According to LSAT Test Centers, Kuta, together with the Legian and Seminyak regions located slightly to the north, forms an extensive resort area stretching along the coast for 8 km. This place is known as the noisiest and most crowded in all of Bali. Young people will like Kutamore, because life is always in full swing here, day and night. Along the main street Jalan Legian are hotels, shops, bars, restaurants and discos. Kuta – a great place for shopping, they sell all kinds of goods at fairly low prices, sales are held periodically. The main shopping center “Kuta Square” is located in the Tuban area.

The coastal waters of the resort are restless – strong sea currents and big waves interfere with swimming, this can only be done in places marked with yellow-red flags. But for surfers it is a paradise. You can almost always catch a good wave close to the shore, and the abundance of board rentals and surfer shops makes this place ideal for learning to surf. For swimming, the southern part of the beach, protected by coral reefs, is more suitable. Beach vendors scurry almost everywhere, so it’s never quiet. Legian and Seminyak are considered to be calmer beaches in this sense.

Kuta – a real mecca for surfers. The resort is the best place to learn to surf in Bali, because there are practically no underwater rocks nearby. This sport is best practiced from March to July.

In Kuta there is a Waterboom water park (area – 4 hectares) with water slides, attractions and underwater tunnels.

On the way from Denpasar to Ubud (about 30 minutes drive from Kuta), the Bird Park and the Reptile Park are located one after the other. The 2-hectare Bird Park is a rainforest with aviaries featuring over 250 species of birds, while the Reptile Park features a variety of reptiles, including pythons and the Komodo dragon.

Nusa Dua, Bali island (Indonesia)

The Nusa Dua resort is located in the south of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula, which is connected to the main part of the island by a narrow isthmus. This is the most fashionable and expensive place in Bali. Rest here is calm, without beach vendors and numerous local stalls, there are practically no local residents.

Coastal waters in Nusa Dua are clear. Holidays on Tangung Beach are cheaper than in other areas of the resort, and if you decide to go to the central Nusa Dua beach, then the best places are located in its southern part.

In Nusa Dua you can go diving. Visibility here reaches 15 m, you can see turtles, rays, hard and soft corals, which testify to the purity of the water, as well as bright coral fish. For those who love surfing, Dreamland Beach is suitable.

From Nusa Dua, you can go on a trip to the Bukit Peninsula. Its hinterland is nothing like the rest of Bali. Bukit is a limestone plateau with dryland vegetation such as cacti, cassava and kapok trees. However, during the rainy months (October to March) the landscape changes and turns green. Uluwatu Temple is the most popular attraction on the peninsula.which is located on the west coast of Jimbaran. The temple stands on the edge of a cliff that rises 70 meters above the ocean, offering a breathtaking view, especially in the evening during sunset. This is one of the most important temples in Bali, it was built in the 11th century from whitish-gray blocks of petrified coral. There are many monkeys around it. You have to be careful and keep your things tight, especially the equipment, because the monkeys often snatch it out of their hands, but they can give it to you for fruit. To the north of the temple lies the Suluban coast, which is considered one of the best places for surfing in the world, because the wave length sometimes reaches 300m. This place is only suitable for experienced surfers.

If you go by boat to the east of Nusa Dua, you can get to the islands, which are known for their dive sites. These islands are Penida and Lembongan. Penida is the largest of the islands. Strong currents are often observed in its northern part. Visibility under water – 20 m, there are large fish – Sunfish and sharks. On the east coast of the island of Penida in the Crystal Beach area, there are underwater caves where you can see sharks and rays.

Beginners should go to the west coast of Lembongan Island, because there are no currents, as well as to the strait between the islands of Lembongan and Penida. Visibility in these areas is 30 meters, and the depth of the reefs reaches 40 m.
